Yet, that’s only for about four months
It’s like my life is finally mine. That sort of sounds weird and I don’t mean that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy being a parent and having a career. But now that the kids are grown and I am no longer going to the zone controlled HVAC of the office any longer, it’s like my life is mine. Fortunately for me, I have a great partner who loves being retired as well. She too left the commercial HVAC of her office building just weeks after I hung it up at my job. But that was just the beginning of all the changes that come with retirement. First, we had to get our house sold. And that was no instant, easy feat I can assure you. One of the things I had to do was to upgrade the HVAC equipment. This wasn’t too tough as the HVAC company we’ve been with forever was just so great. They were able to get us just what we needed with new residential HVAC without going overboard. Once we were out of the house, it was moving a long way to the south and the land of the heat pump. But that has been so wonderful. Sure, the summers are hot and humid with plenty of HVAC cooling demand. Yet, that’s only for about four months. Now that it’s October, we are about to enjoy the best weather and climate we could have asked for and that’s why we’re here. I love the fact that instead of huddling inside the HVAC heating all winter, we’re outside play tennis most days.
