I’ve consistently used space heating systems in conjunction with my central heater.
I personally guess it’s the best way to supply heating to your home, especially if you have poor zoning control.
The home that I grew up in had bad zone control plus some of the rooms barely got any heat coming through, so the two of us alway had space heating systems around to make up the difference. Space heating systems are great because they supply heat to a single room if you want to keep your gas furnace on a lower temperature to save on costs. Central heating is a great option because it provides whole apartment heating, which is especially important if you have multiple people living in a house. A keynote to make is that space heating systems are more of a temporary option, while central heating is more of a permanent option. I use space heating systems because of circumstance, but it’s not the ideal set up because it can entirely cause your energy bills to be higher if you don’t use them appropriately. My dad has taught myself and others a lot about this sort of stuff, plus I’m cheerful he did because I would have been overusing my space gas furnace if I didn’t believe how wasteful they can be. I’m cheerful that my dad takes his time to explain things to myself and others so that I entirely understand how it all works. When you understand how a method operates, it’s easier to understand how to make it more efficient for normal USAge. I’m particularly fortunate for both of my parents plus how involved they’ve been in my life over the years.
