When I got home from work the other day, it shocked me to see my HVAC technician laying on the ground with his hands over his heart.
My initial reaction was to call an ambulance because I thought he had a heart attack.
I got out of my car, kicked off my heels, and ran over to him. I asked if it was okay? About that time, my four-year-old came running around the house with his fake bow and arrow my dad had bought for him, pretending to shoot me with the arrow. The HVAC tech looked up and told me you can’t just pretend he shot you, you had actually fall over and hold something. I quickly put my hand over my shoulder, and looked at my son while telling him it wasn’t nice to shoot mommy, or anyone else. He laughed, then ran over and kissed my cheek. He held up his tiny plastic bow and arrow and told me it wasn’t real. The HVAC tech sat up and put his elbows on his knees. He told my son he packed quite a wallop with that fake arrow, and it wasn’t nice to shoot HVAC technicians either. I tried apologizing to the technician, but he said there was no need. He had a four-year-old at home who did the same thing to him. He got used to falling down on the ground and pretending it hurt him whenever he heard kapow or bang. I laughed with him when he said that, but my son apologized. He told the HVAC tech he didn’t want to hurt him, but he shouldn’t try to steal our gold, and ran away.
