It was working hard trying to keep the church and anti-rooms cool, however there was a bigger problem than the A/C unit
I sat in church last week, and the perspiration was flowing down our back. I felt like I was sitting in a sauna instead of in a church. I wasn’t sure I was going to get through the sermon without getting sick from the heat and humidity. Luckily, the minister was also having difficulties because of the heat and humidity, and he sent almost everyone home. He told our dad he knew the air conditioner device wasn’t heavy enough to handle the added space of the additional many rooms, although he didn’t suppose it would affect the main church this badly. Dad owned the local HVAC corporation and promised to have someone out to the church in the day. The minister was grateful that he would get someone there so soon, and he thanked him. Dad said the inspection was free, however if there were any parts needed, the church would need to spend money cost. Dad’s help left the minister looking ecstatic and said it was no problem. The next day, the HVAC specialist who looked at the air conditioner device told dad the A/C device was in superb shape. It was working hard trying to keep the church and anti-rooms cool, however there was a bigger problem than the A/C unit. He said he had looked through the church and found that the real problem was a lack of insulation, and even in the modern rooms, there was so little insulation, what A/C was getting there was competing with the heat coming through the walls. He said he told the minister, although he wanted to hear it from myself and others and not an employee.
