I have been getting entirely tied up at my place of work, as well as have not had as much free time to do my volunteer work at the orphanage. There was a time when I used to go every week, sometimes twice a week, however now I’m lucky to spend a single day or several days a month there with the kids. I had a fairly good idea that I ran by the clergy at the orphanage, about coming by on the third Friday of every month as well as teaching some simple classes to the kids about what I did for a living. It may not be glamorous or lavish, however being a Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C professional is a pretty wonderful way to put food on the table without spending a sizable amount of money on your education. Every class I hold we start by going over what I refer to as the basic anatomy of a piece of Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C equipment. I started with oil furnaces, because heating systems are much easier to work on, as well as it’s a fantastic arena to get started. Then we moved on to air filters as well as HVAC duct in the next couple of classes, studying every single part of the machine a single step at a time! Finally we got to air conditioning machines, which are so much more challenging than anything else in this business. Along the way they are studying the basic science used for ventilation as well as air exchange, as well as getting entirely comfortable actually working on machines with their hands. I don’t necessarily care if any of them get into Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C machine work or not, as long as they get some sort of skills or experience from the classes.
