Sadly, it meant I cut back on my visits to the orphanage, but it also gave me enough financial freedom where I could start offering an HVAC scholarship
It turns out that karma is very real, and as it says in the good book, “what you cast out on the waters comes back to you.” I try to help the orphans of the church in any way I can, whether it is hooking them up with a Movie Night, or just talking with them. A few months ago I started offering a free class to the older kids there, the ones aged 12 to 17. At age 18 they are released into the wild, like I was, so it behooved them to learn as many skills as they could before that time. You have to get your HVAC certification before you can get a job as a repair tech, but they could still learn those basic skills to help them later on in life. The bishop of the city liked what I was doing, and offered me a contract to handle all the HVAC repair work for every church in the diocese, which was a huge get for me. That was over seventeen different buildings in total, some of which had a dozen different heaters in use. This was a big enough contract for my HVAC company to be put on the map for real, and suddenly I had more work than I could handle. Sadly, it meant I cut back on my visits to the orphanage, but it also gave me enough financial freedom where I could start offering an HVAC scholarship. It was a scholarship for HVAC classes that had given me my start, and now I can pay that back with interest. Karma is a real thing and I learned it through HVAC work
