Jane booked a loft through AirBnB

Jane is not afraid to go full Karen on someone when she is discontent.

Usually that someone is her partner, and so he hates it.

But whenever Jane’s outrage is aimed at someone else he’s not annoyed. Jane’s partner wants to get snacks and watch her raise hell whenever a stranger makes her irritated. This happened in spectacular fashion the other day, when they took a getaway to the beach for a little birthday trip. Instead of booking a BnB, Jane had booked a beach house through AirBnB. She assumed it would be a perfect experience, but right away they knew the cooling unit wasn’t on, and had not been turned on all week. The air quality was damp and muggy, as if there had been no air circulation for 7 days or so. It wasn’t appealing to stay without the cooling unit, but the bigger matter was the foul air quality. It was so awkward to stay in that situation, so they opened up all the windows for natural ventilation and went out to eat and shop for some time. While they were out Jane called the beach house owner and raised a riot about the cooling unit problem. She really went off on the guy, so much so that by the time both of us got back to the rental, an Heating and Air Conditioning worker was waiting for us to look at the cooling system. She got the air conditioner running in no time. Jane gave her a giant tip and told her the beach house owner wasn’t a smart man.
