Wouldn’t you know it? As soon as the summer ended and the weather finally started cooling off, my furnace stopped working. Of course, we couldn’t have had the air conditioning tear up at that point. It had to be the furnace system, since that’s what we were actually going to have to be using! It seems to be a rule of thumb for us that no matter what, we always have terrible luck with appliances at our house. That includes the refrigerator, the washer, the dryer, and our HVAC system. Our A/C and our furnace always seem to be having problems. I’m not sure if we just bought some sub par heating and cooling devices when we first moved into this house or what, but it seems like we never go for more than a few months without having to pay for an HVAC repair. Anyway, the weather outside was just getting cold enough for us to start using our furnace and that’s when it quit on us. It’s just the kind of luck that we always seem to have, to tell you the truth. It’s annoying, but it is what it is. I guess before the snow starts and the temperatures really start cooling off in earnest, we should go ahead and call our HVAC company and make an appointment to get this thing fixed. I can’t believe I’m going to have to pay for a major heating repair right now before Christmas starts! That’s the last thing that I need at this point in life. But you can’t live through the winter without a heating system.
