I had been told that a sauna is an amazing experience.
I had read that the heat and moisture works to open the pores and makes the skin look younger and healthier.
Some people said that saunas encourage impurities to sweat out of the body and help you to ward off illness and issues with the skin. I was eager to finally try out the sauna at the local gym. My friend and I decided to make a whole day of pampering ourselves. We scheduled manicures and pedicures. We took the time to enjoy facials. Our faces were wrapped up in warm and fragrant towels and massaged with invigorating oils. Our bodies were immersed in warm mud that was wonderfully relaxing. We then headed to the sauna to get rid of the impurities and stress. The sauna was much hotter than I had expected. we wrapped in towels and poured water over the sizzling rocks. The steam was a little overwhelming. I felt as if I couldn’t breathe properly. I only lasted in the sauna for about three minutes. I was anxious to get out of the steam and cool off in the shower. As much as I enjoyed our day of pampering and relaxing, I realized that I feel just as good after a strenuous workout. I prefer to elevate my heart rate and build a heavy sweat through high intensity aerobics. I get that same release of stress and yet I feel awesome about my accomplishment. Working out gives me a toned, thin, healthy body and a great mindset. It promotes energy and endurance.
