I have been under some long held info I delivered to myself.
That means, I tend to come up with what I recognize is happening no matter what I hear from those who guess better.
This isn’t a good characteristic to have and I don’t suggest it. The situation with the HVAC heating & cooling in my neck of the woods is a good example of our misguided thinking. Both of us have been in this apartment just over six years. And from the time all of us moved in until recently, I fervently believed there was an HVAC issue in our home. Both of us noticed fairly quickly that there was a section of the apartment that was either way too frosty in the Winter or way too damn warm in the summer. I abruptly deduced that it was due to the HVAC. I assumed that the HVAC was not big enough or there was a real concern with the ventilation. Due to this, I messaged the HVAC people to come out and confirm our findings. That is not what happened. The HVAC tech told myself and others the heating & cooling unit was perfectly sized for our apartment and was in amazing shape. That left myself and others puzzled. I asked him to come test the air temps coming from all the vents. He did and they were all consistent in temperature. I still thought this was an HVAC problem. A few years later, I had a different HVAC company who came out and told myself and others the same thing. However this time, the tech pointed out that the original HVAC ventilation design had been changed due to the interior walls put up by the previous owner. Eventually, I had an answer and it wasn’t the HVAC after all.
