No heat on floors 27 and 28 mean bad sensors

I was working in the HVAC control room at the hospital on Thursday, when the red lights on for 27 and 28 started to flash.

The red lights signify when the heat is not working.

I thought it was strange but the heat wasn’t working just on floor 27 and 28, so I called the floor nurse in each of these areas. I had both of the nurses check several different rooms and both ends of the hallway. The heat seemed to be working fine and the warm air was flowing out of the air vents. Since the heat was working properly, I immediately knew there must be trouble with the computer program or the sensors. This particular hospital has a building management system for all of the heating, AC, and Lighting. Someone is always in the control room to monitor the technology equipment. I waited to see if the problem would correct itself, but the red light continued to flash for hours. Since the heat was still working, I decided to wait until the morning to inform my boss. There was no reason to wake him up at 5 in the morning when the heat was still working. When my boss got to work after 7, he immediately got started on the problem. My shift was over and I went home. I have no idea why the software was glitching, but I came back to work the next night and everything was working properly. It’s been four days and I haven’t had any other malfunctions, so the problems must be fixed completely.
