We had to have a dehumidifier.

Going camping used to be the highlight of our family vacation.

We would go camping on the beach or just go off into the forest. My husband would take the boys and go fishing while I stayed back at the camp and got ready for their return. The older the kids got, the more they argued about going camping. They couldn’t take their gaming systems. They weren’t able to charge their phones. They didn’t like sleeping in a tent. When the pandemic arrived, it just made sense to no longer go camping on the beach or in the forest, where there were hundreds of other people. My husband and I still wanted the family vacation, so we bought an RV. There was plenty of space and the boys had their own beds. There was heating and air conditioning, which made me happy. I didn’t need to deal with the campfire smoke or the bugs. I loved staying inside while the guys went fishing. I could read my book in the comfort of air conditioning. The boys were able to play their video games and charge their phones. We even had a television set to keep us occupied on those chilly and rainy days. My boys crowded into the RV and took over the living area with their video games. The only time I was acknowledged was for food, or when they wanted the heating on. They thought it was too damp since we didn’t have a dehumidifier. I’m thinking I’ll find the closest store when this rain ends and purchase a portable dehumidifier for our RV.
