My grandma’s house always smells like cooking grease and lard

My grandma lives down in the southern part of the country.

If you know anything about the south, you know that the ladies down there love to cook with grease and lard more than anything else! It’s really crazy. I don’t know how every single person down there doesn’t have big health problems. I guess they are all just really used to it. Anyway, my grandma’s house seems like it always smells like cooking grease and lard all the time. She isn’t going to quit cooking with it after all of these years, though. So I talked to her about changing out her air filters in her HVAC unit. I know that if she uses higher quality air filters like HEPA filters instead of the cheap ones that she usually purchases at the dollar store, then it would make a big difference in the indoor air quality in her house. She told me that she would try it, and I also started to think that it might be a good idea for us to have her local HVAC company come out and check her ventilation system. I think that she might need to get her air ducts professionally cleaned out. Also, I would like to talk to a professional HVAC technician about how much it would cost to have a whole home air purification system put in at her house to run alongside her existing HVAC system. I think that would really help with the indoor air quality in my grandma’s house. With an air purifier, maybe she could just keep right on cooking with lard and grease.
