Ductless or central?

The common trend happening today with heating and air conditioning is going ductless.

However, in some cases ductless may not be the right choice for you.

It depends on a lot of factors in both your home and your lifestyle. For instance, if you have a new born baby and have been thinking about going ductless with your heating and air conditioning system it would be a great idea. The reason for this is because ductless mini split heating and air conditioning methods are very quiet. This would be best when having a new born baby trying to sleep. While running a central heating and air conditioning system, those things can actually wake up an adult trying to sleep depending on the loudness of the HVAC unit and what it sounds like when the thermostat actually comes on. So that is something to think about right there. If you are looking to cut down on energy use then a ductless mini split heating and air conditioning method is also good for what you need. But on the flip side, if you have an awkward built house or live in a climate that has the most extreme weather, a ductless mini split may not be the best choice. Central heating and air conditioning systems are way more powerful and will be able to up against just about any extreme weather. While a ductless mini split can not do this so well. So at the end of the day there is no real answer on which is actually best. Evaluate your lifestyle and home then make your decision from there.
