You don’t want to turn the HvAC system off, but be able to control it to save money and still know that your house isn’t going to have frozen pipes, or mold and mildew
Once I own a home of my own, I plan on having a SMart Thermostat. My mother told me I am looking for trouble by having a Smart Thermostat in the house. She seems to think that it will be a way for thieves to be able to hack into my security system. I’m sure there are some Smart Thermostats that are tied into security, but mine won’t be. I want a Smart Thermostat so I am able to have the most efficient heating possible. I want to be able to be at work, or travelling and know that when I get home, the heating or air conditioning will be perfect. I know how much money it costs to heat and cool a home. I also know that a lot of that heating and air conditioning is wasted while you are at work or away. You can get a programmable thermostat to have it lower or higher the thermostat at a certain time but what happens if you get home early. You could come home to a frigid house in the winter, or a bake oven if it is summer. You don’t want to turn the HvAC system off, but be able to control it to save money and still know that your house isn’t going to have frozen pipes, or mold and mildew. With a Smart Thermostat, I will be able to control all of these circumstances from my phone. I will have ultimate comfort and superb efficiency all because I can monitor my house with the phone and my Smart Thermostat app.
