I had some knee surgery done a couple of years ago.
When I awoke from the surgery, it was to find out that they had broken my leg when they were trying to fix the knee.
After the doctor told me this he said that he was going on vacation but he had arranged for a new doctor. Now, whenever I hear the words I am going on vacation spoken to me, I think about that. I was supposed to have a new HVAC system installed a couple of weeks ago. They delivered the air conditioner and the furnace and I waited to hear from the HVAC company. When I called to see when they were going to install my HVAC equipment, I was told that the HVAC company had been closed for a week for vacation. The work would be done when they returned to work. I was furious. I couldn’t believe that they would deliver HVAC equipment and just let it on my porch for more than a week without telling me. It was like having the surgery all over. The difference was that I was left with another doctor, but I wasn’t left with another HvAC technician. I called back and asked the woman I talked to, what would happen if there was an emergency. She told me that they had a few people on call, but the installation of my HVAC equipment was not an emergency and it had to wait until Monday when everyone returned to work. If I didn’t think it would void my warranty, I would be calling a new HVAC company right now instead of just complaining.
