I actually managed to replace the furnace in my camper. I know that this may not seem like a huge deal to you, but this was a big deal to me. I have never been the kind of guy that knows how to fix everything, but when the furnace stopped working on my camper, I thought that I could try to fix the furnace myself. The furnace wasn’t that important. It was mainly used on days during the early fall when I tried to get a final camping trip in before the snow came. However, without the furnace, we wouldn’t be able to take those kinds of trips, and I thought that it would be nice to have the furnace just in case. When I looked up the price of the furnace, I was shocked when it cost a ton of money. Apparently, luxury HVAC items cost a lot more money than I realized. The HVAC companies must figure that since we can afford to own a camper, we must have a lot of money to spend on an HVAC unit for it. I also didn’t want to hire an HVAC technician to work on the furnace that I only use once a year. Instead, I decided to try to take the old furnace out myself and replace it. I learned that it was much harder to take out the old furnace and put a new furnace in than I would have guessed. There is not a lot of room in that camper, and I struggled to get everything put back together. It took me a few tries before I could finally get the furnace running again, but I managed to fix it. I was so proud of myself, but I don’t plan on fixing my actual HVAC unit.
