Energy Efficiency in your home

This will warm your house and the less work for the HVAC unit.

We all love having heat in the winter, and air conditioning in the hot summers. No one wants to pay high energy bills. High energy bills aren’t a problem if you understand how to keep them low. There are many tasks that people do and do not realize that they are the problem with their high energy bills. The first thing is that you should keep your home air tight. Do not leave any windows open or have any leaks. Windows are the most common place to have an air leak. The more air you lose from your house the harder your HVAC unit works to keep your home temperature controlled. The harder the unit works the higher your energy bill costs will be and it’s a waste of money. Especially in the winter, make sure all windows are closed and there are no leaks. Natural sunlight can play a big role in your energy costs as well. It is best to keep the sunlight out in the summer. This will keep your house cooler and it is less work for the HVAC unit. In the winter you should bring in the sunlight by opening your blinds. This will warm your house and the less work for the HVAC unit. These will all reduce your energy bill costs. High energy bills do not always mean that your HVAC unit is broken. I always call my HVAC provider if I have any questions or concerns. They will know what to do and help you in any case.
