HVAC season changes

Some winters are colder than others. I always like to prepare for the winter before it starts to get cold. One of the things I make sure is going to work is my heater. One winter we were left without it for a week and it was a bad experience. My house was unbearably cold. We turned on the stove every now and then to try to get a little warmth. I knew this wasn’t safe but we had to stay warm somehow. I never want to go through that again. One of the things I like to do that ultimately saves me time and extra expenses is get a tune up for my furnace. The HVAC technician will come to my house to clean the unit. There is a lot of dust that builds up over the summer time. I prevent this dust from traveling around my house by having the HVAC professional clean it. He also replaces my air filters and looks for any parts that may be defective and he replaces them. I also run the heat for a bit to get it ready. This way I can tell if it will run well. In doing this I am fully prepared for the winter. In the summer, it is not as important for my house but I get the tune up again for the same reasons I get the tune up in the winter. By getting a tune up twice a year I am able to prevent serious problems and future expenses.
