Playing music, drinking beer, and talking HVAC with the cops

It was a hot summer’s day, and my buddy and I were playing music in my garage. Even though we had the door open to let the breeze in, the temperature was stifling. I suggested we take a break and head to a cool bar just around the corner. My buddy agreed and we turned off our equipment and headed out to the bar. On our way there, we chatted about HVAC. My buddy had just started working as an HVAC tech and was telling me how happy he was with his new job. As I listened, I was fascinated by his knowledge of heating and cooling systems. When we arrived at the bar, we ordered a couple of beers and sat near the window. We greatly appreciated the bar’s air conditioner. We were nice and cool while we had our refreshing beers, and my buddy continued to tell me about his HVAC working experience. Suddenly, we heard sirens and saw flashing lights outside, and when we looked out of the window, we saw two police cars pull up in front of my house. We rushed out, and when we got there, we found the cops investigating a noise complaint. The cops were friendly, though, and I don’t know how, but we ended up talking about HVAC zone control and air purification. They left us with a warning to keep the music down and wished my friend luck with his HVAC work. As we headed back to the garage, my buddy and I laughed about how strange it was that we ended up talking about heating and air conditioning systems with the cops.
