Just another day on my routes from house to house doing HVAC maintenance.
Mondays are already a bad day for me.
The grogginess of having two days off in a row and trying to get up early hinders the first few hours of my work day. I can get through it with a few cups of coffee but until those kick in, I’m just a mess. I started early today and just did a routine HVAC maintenance check-up for my first stop. It didn’t take long at all, maybe 15 minutes. On my way to my second stop my HVAC van started to act up and turned itself off. I tried restarting it and nothing. I didn’t think there were any issues but apparently, I can’t drive this now. Also, my cell phone has no reception in this area. This is great, Mondays, am I right? So unfortunately I had to knock on someone’s door. A woman answered by the name of Carol and you can tell she was a bit frantic. I asked if I can use her phone to call my boss and AAA since my van broke down in front of her house and I had no cell phone reception. She told me cell phone service is weak in this area and that’s why she has a landline and pointed it to me. I realized walking to the phone her house was pretty cold. So after my phone call, I asked her about that. She said something was wrong and she didn’t know what it was. I then said I’ll look at it at no charge since she helped me out. It turned out that the air filters just needed to be cleaned and that is an easy task.
