Today can’t get any worse, my kids have been testing my patience. Michael, my oldest, which is really only 5 is taking forever getting ready for school. My other child named, Rachael, who is 2 has been crying up a storm. I have a deadline to accomplish and I was hoping to start a little early. I haven’t got dressed yet and all I know is that I feel cold. It’s 45 degrees outside and my dial thermostat is set to 68 degrees. It’s definitely not 68 degrees in this house, maybe 58 but I’m not 100% sure. I guess I’ll have to call the HVAC company on top of everything I’m already trying to accomplish this morning. I just need a break and I don’t know where to start. Then all of a sudden there was a knock at my door and it was an HVAC technician. How lucky am I? He asked if he could borrow my phone to call the heating and cooling company because his van broke down. He said he was having terrible cell phone reception and that he felt bad bothering me but he needs to get a hold of someone. I had a landline phone so I pointed it to him. He called his HVAC company and said they will have AAA come grab the van. After that, he said this place is cold, it’s 45 degrees outside, do you like it this way? I told him that something was wrong with my HVAC system. He then said he has time and he will look at it free of charge if the repair is minor. He found out that the air filters needed to be cleaned and he took care of it. He said as the AAA vehicle showed up, “Free of charge, and thank you.”
