What is HVAC pay-per-click?

I asked my wife if she had ever heard about pay-per-click? She said she had heard a bit, but she didn’t really understand what it was.

She told me to look it up online, but I wasn’t sure I was that interested.

She rolled her eyes, knowing I wouldn’t take her advice, and walked away. After dinner, she brought her laptop into my office, and showed me some information she had found. It was pretty interesting, but I wasn’t sure pay-per-click was something I wanted. I had an excellent HVAC website, thanks to my daughter. I had a social media marketing plan and I was looking into Google Ads. Pay-per-click was an advertising play that went along with Google Ads. You paid every time someone clicked on your ad and went to the website. You put in bids to have your ads be seen. Whether the person who clicked on your ad did it deliberately or accidentally, you paid what you bid. It didn’t matter if the prospective client stayed on your website, or simply left as soon as they looked at the first page. Some of the reason people don’t go any further is because they don’t like the website. Other reasons are because it isn’t what they want to see. I didn’t like the idea of pay-per-click for my HVAC company, but I was sure some businesses could benefit by it. I was interested in keeping my website, and doing the social media marketing. It seemed more straightforward with less chances of losing money. I wanted a sure thing and not a gamble.
