My son asked why he couldn't go to HVAC school.

I was sitting at the table peeling potatoes last week when my son came out to see what I was doing.

He sat down at the table and poured a glass of milk.

He looked at me and asked why he couldn’t go to HVAC school? We had this discussion a couple of days earlier, and I thought he had forgotten about HVAC school. I told him he had to finish college before he took any more classes. He told me he didn’t want to go to college. All he wanted to do was go to HVAC school. If his dad could go, he should be able to go. I shook my head and told him we had already had this conversation, and I was n’t going to have it again. He got off his chair and stomped into the living room where I heard him muttering to himself. An hour later, my husband came home from work. He asked why I looked so angry? I told him I had the HVAC school today with his son, and I was tired of having it. He started to laugh and told me he would talk to him. I heard my husband heading up the stairs, then entered our son’s bedroom. Fifteen minutes later, my son came downstairs and told me his dad agreed to let him go to HVAC school. I looked at my husband, but he told our son to finish what he said. He told me he could go to HVAC school when he got out of kindergarten and graduated from high school.
