You learn something new every day, and something that I learned is that the placement of your thermostat matters in the home.
You see, not that long ago, I had a new smart thermostat installed in my home.
However, even though I only had the smart thermostat for a month or so, I noticed that something wasn’t quite right with it. It didn’t seem to heat and cool the home properly. At first I thought there was something wrong with the new thermostat, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that that didn’t make sense, so I decided to do a bit of reading. One of the things I read on was placement of the thermostat. I didn’t know the placement of the thermostat actually mattered, and one of the things you are not supposed to do is have a thermostat by a window. My thermostat was awfully close to a window, and the sun did shine near and on it a lot, so perhaps that was the issue. I closed the blinds of the window, but that only seemed to help a little bit. So I ended up having to call a heating and air conditioning worker to come out and place the thermostat in a much better location, in my living room away from any heated or cool spots, and away from the window. That definitely did the trick, as now my thermostat is back to working as it should. I’m so glad to have my thermostat back to normal.
