Don’t ever date your HVAC technician if you know what’s good for you. I did it, and it was a big mistake. Whenever we first met, it was when he was fixing my air conditioning system at my house. He showed up early in the morning, right on time for his appointment to fix my broken air conditioning. When he got there that morning, I offered him a cup of coffee. While we were drinking our coffee on the back deck, we just really hit it off. We had a great conversation and it seemed like we talked very easily. There were no awkward pauses while we were having coffee together and I felt like we really had a connection. He fixed my central air conditioning system and then we ended up going out. We dated for nearly a year and a half and he always made sure that the heating and cooling system in my house was in tip top shape at all times. We dated for so long that I finally started to think that maybe we would end up getting married. Then everything seemed to go south and we started to fight all the time. We began to really dislike each other and then at one point he made me so mad that I told him that I was done with him and that I wanted to break up with him. Of course, at that point, I didn’t really consider the fact that I was going to be losing my HVAC technician when I dumped the guy! I was much more upset about losing a good HVAC technician than I was about breaking up with my boyfriend. Guys are a dime a dozen, but good HVAC technicians are hard to find.
