I went to law college, because I thought I was going to work on major criminal cases.
I saw myself on an episode of Law plus order.
I thought I would spend our time in the courtroom. Unluckyly, law college is not like that at all. I spent a lot of time in the classroom plus then the people I was with and I had to clerk for a judge. When I started off as an intern at a law office, I had to help out with civil cases. I wanted to be in criminal law despite the fact that I was stuck on civil cases… One of the first cases that I maintained was for a plaintiff that owned an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business. The owner of the heating plus AC repair supplier was suing a client for defaulting on a check. The client wrote a check for the cost of an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C repair. The $560 check did not clear plus the client never paid the fees. The owner of the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C supplier wanted to get the currency from the customer. I didn’t particularly learn a lot of particular things about the case when I was working on the job. One another case came up for the same plaintiff, I was assigned to the case because I had expertise of the supplier already. I had to study quickly to learn everything that I did not bother to soak up the first time. I will never forget how hard it was when I was just starting out… Even now after 10 years, it’s still a lot of hard work to be an attorney.
