My wife and I went to visit my brother and his wife.
We were supposed to spend the day, but we ended up having to spend the night.
The reason we had to stay was because of the roads. After we arrived, it started snowing. There was supposed to be a light snow, but two feet of snow dropped within 6 hours and we could not go anywhere. I did not want to stay at my brother’s place, but there were no hotels anywhere in the small farm town. My brother told us that he had a hide a bed in the basement. The two of us could sleep down there. There was no heat, but he told me that there was a space heater somewhere in the closet. I went into the basement to find the hide a bed. The couch was very dingy and looked dirty, but at least it was a place to sleep. My brother gave us clean sheets so we could cover the old and dingy bed with something that looked better. The space heater from the closet was a small heater that plugs right into the wall. We plugged the heater into a socket next to the bed. The heater warmed up the entire basement really well. We were almost too warm in bed, but the moment that we got out of bed and put our feet on the cold floor, we were happy to have the space heater running. When we woke up the next morning, we got into the car and drove back home.
