Selling some seasoned antiques to fund a new heat pump purchase

I started selling a bunch of stuff from my storage equipment this week after I successfully got rid of my hockey equipment at a fairly good price.

  • I was blissful to see it put to use by someone whose body is still capable of lacing up ice skates & getting back out on the ice.

I also sold a collection of books that contained a few first editions from the 1950s. After I sold a handful of things successfully, the process snowballed for me. I had a friend’s cousin asking myself and others about baseball cards when he heard that I might have a few that are worth looking at. Instead of trying to buy individual cards, he provided myself and others a fair price on the whole box. I was more than blissful to make the deal with him & the two of us both left the meetup blissful & pleased. However, there were a few seasoned antiques in the back of my storage equipment that I had inherited from my Grandparents & wasn’t looking to sell. This all changed when my electric gas furnace broke in November this year & I realized I would soon be faced with cold weather & no way to stay hot in my house. I called to get the antiques appraised & hastily l received that they were worth enough money where I could sell them & fund the purchase of a heat pump to substitute the inefficient electric gas furnace that stopped working. That way I would consume less electricity keeping my condo hot enough for hour by hour comfort. I have wanted a heat pump for years, although I never had the capacity to afford 1 until now.
