Ductless multi break system provides zoned heating and cooling

My apartment is seriously big, absolutely old and divided into lots of rooms.

There have been many remodeling projects over the years.

There has been a giant addition and walls removed to create more of an open floor plan. Because of this, some rooms lack sufficient supply and return registers to supply year round comfort. There are areas of the apartment that are exposed to afternoon sun and tend to assume hot. There are other rooms that take the brunt of the wind and are shaded by giant trees. They correctly assume cold. With a single thermostat to control the entire house, there is no way to accommodate the needs of unique rooms. I looked into upgrading to zone control, however the gas furnace, cooling system and ductwork are simply too old. Rather than a pressing expense and mess to update the whole system, I chose to install a ductless multi-break system. This type of heating and cooling system combines a single outdoor air compressor with several indoor air handlers. The indoor units affix to the outdoor unit by way of a conduit that requires only a several-inch hole in an exterior wall. The whole system was installed in a single afternoon without any disfigure or mess. The air handlers are lightweight, streamlined and unobtrusive. They are mounted up high on the wall and controlled through a cordless remote. Each a single includes its own thermostat, allowing for zone control. The air handlers supply both heating and cooling capacity, operate quietly, effectively handle humidity and can direct the airflow to unique areas of the room. The ductless system features inverter technology that automatically adjusts the speed of operation according to the demands of the living space. The system works to maintain even temperature while maximizing energy efficiency.
