The doctor’s office that I used to go to recently received some money from the governing board who arranges everything for them and was asked to look at installing a new HVAC system in the doctor’s office.
They agreed, and I was honestly so relieved, because with everything going on with COVID I actually have gotten sick a number of times in the past few years.
I have had COVID twice, and then the flu just once, thankfully. So going into a doctor’s office that I know is going to be freezing is one of the most mentally tough exercises I’ve ever done, especially while having some sniffles and feeling overall crummy. The most recent time I went, tey had already had their HVAC system installed and updated, so that the warm air coming straight from the cents throughout the office helped greatly to warm this place, warm enough where the staff would usually walk around in short sleeves and a pair of shorts, as it was that hot outside. The HVAC system has a fan attached to it as well, so that the heating can be a bit better dispersed throughout the doctor’s office, and make its way into the patient exam rooms as well as the waiting room, lobby, and the lab testing area where they can test for strep through and things like that. When I had to go for my annual, and don one of those ridiculous robes, I actually felt pleasantly warm from the heat, and could even see the duct vent up overhead. Overall, I am thrilled with the new heating system that now exists at my doctor’s office.
