When I bought a new home, I really wanted to make a statement with my family and friends.
The place was a little bit run down, but I got such a great deal on the house.
I put in all new insulation, painted the walls, and I spoke with a local contractor about getting the HVAC equipment upgraded. I wanted something that was going to impress everybody. The HVAC professional I spoke to talked about many different installations we could go for including geothermal HVAC systems, dual fuel heating systems, radiant heated floors, and more. Well, I opted for the radiant heated floors along with a high velocity cooling system. Since I was going to have this housewarming party in the warm season, I wanted everybody to see how fantastic my cooling system was. I learned this is a highly energy efficient cooling system that requires narrow ductwork for high speed cooling. I was even informed that I could upgrade the system to include a high velocity heating system as well. I didn’t want to invest in that though, I had to go for the radiant heated floors because I heard so many good things about this style of heating system. So the house warming party was a huge hit. I actually kept the place overheated on purpose until everybody showed up outside while we were having a huge cookout. Everybody wanted to go in, but I made everybody wait until all the people I cared about showed up. Then we all walked into this stifling house and I cranked on the cooling system. People couldn’t believe the house cooled down in 10 minutes, but that’s how efficient the cooling system is! Can’t wait to show off my radiant heated floors in the winter.
