I don’t think that I really understood the importance of HVAC maintenance back in the day. That was until I had a severe cooling system break down when it was way too overheated outside. I was having a BBQ at my home too and I can’t tell you how terrible I felt when people were suffering at my place from the unbearable heat. I figured it was because so many people kept going in and out of my house while I had the AC system cranked up. It was too much for the air conditioning to handle. To make things worse though, I hadn’t been keeping up with regular AC system tune-ups and my buddies gave me a hard time about that. The good news is that we had the pool open so a lot of people were keeping cool just by going swimming. Other people who couldn’t deal with the heat and lack of AC system, they left. At least, I was able to get the AC system repaired the following day. I was lucky because I had some friends bring over some window AC units that helped us keep cozy through the night without sweating too much in an overheated house. The HVAC professionals who came out to repair the cooling system were super nice too. It was one of the HVAC experts who talked me into getting an AC maintenance plan, and I have been using the maintenance plan for years now and have had no problems with the HVAC equipment! If I would have had such a maintenance plan the whole time, I don’t think I ever would have had a breakdown.
