I made a huge mistake with my HVAC system about a week ago. After watching some online videos about repairing your own HVAC system, I thought I could do the same thing. Well, clearly I was wrong. In one video that I watched, they suggested ordering your needed HVAC parts online from a certain HVAC supplier. I went to this place thinking that the parts were genuine, but they actually were not. They were some cheap HVAC parts from overseas. Still, I didn’t realize that fact when I got the parts delivered and then I swapped out the parts in my HVAC system. My HVAC honestly was working like a champ for numerous days until I started hearing crazy noises. I turned everything off as soon as I heard those dreadful sounds and I called up the HVAC company. The HVAC professional seemed disappointed. He said that it was obvious that a non-professional worked on the HVAC equipment. He said the parts that were put in there were cheap and not even made for this model of HVAC system. He said the warranty unfortunately was void, but he believed he could resolve the issue with genuine parts. He said there was no guarantee when the job was done, but he explained that it was the best he could do considering the wrong parts were used in the HVAC system. Well, I have been using the HVAC and it hasn’t given me any issues so far after that expensive repair. One thing is for sure, I will never try to work on the HVAC system myself anymore.
