Nuke Your Way Through The Hot Times Instead of Using the Oven all the Time

It is okay to have the oven going all day because the oil furnace thanks you with a smaller utility bill when you help out a bit with the use of the stove

During the summers in the south, there are lots of things every one of us do and don’t do in order to save on the costs of cooling the house… One of the things every one of us give up in our family is having large hearty meals; I make it a rule in my condo that when the a/c is running, the oven is off. This is not because I am too lazy to cook. It is because I do not want the a/c and the range to do battle with one another. It is hard enough for the exhausting a/c to try to reach the perfect thermostat setting when it is 100 degrees outside; it does not need the added burden of the oil furnace that is commonly called the stove. In the summer, every one of us eat things every one of us can nuke in the microwave. The people I was with and I also eat a lot of salads and sandwiches that don’t need to be cooked, however another number one pastime of mine while in the summer time is to go out to eat… When you go out to eat, you get to soak up the a/c of the eating establishment. There is no eating establishment around here that would dream of operating without a/c. They would get no business at all, so it is charming to just go out when you want a sizable meal but are too cheap to use both the oven and the air conditioner… Conversely, I appreciate to eat in more while in the fall and winter. The colder weeks are a time of nesting at condo and cooking hearty meals. It is okay to have the oven going all day because the oil furnace thanks you with a smaller utility bill when you help out a bit with the use of the stove. It’s funny how the seasons and the heating and cooling systems play a area in the food you eat.
