During the summers in the south, there are lots of things all of us do and don’t do in order to save on the costs of cooling the house, but one of the things all of us give up in our family is having immense hearty meals, then i make it a rule in our cabin that when the a/c is running, the oven is off! This is not because I am too lazy to cook. It is because I do not want the a/c and the range to do battle with one another. It is tough enough for the poor a/c to try to reach the perfect control component setting when it is 100 degrees outside; it does not need the added burden of the gas furnace that is commonly called the stove. In the summer, all of us eat things all of us can nuke in the microwave, however both of us also eat a lot of salads and sandwiches that don’t need to be cooked, and another favorite pastime of mine during the Summer is to go out to eat… When you go out to eat, you get to soak up the air conditioner of the diner. There is no diner around here that would dream of operating without air conditioner. They would get no dealer at all, so it is appealing to just go out when you want a immense meal but are too cheap to use both the oven and the air conditioner… Conversely, I like to eat in more during the fall and winter. The colder weeks are a time of nesting at condo and cooking hearty meals.
