At the start of the pandemic, I lost my company as it was impossible to keep the doors open.
I had just started the company and it was just taking off when Covid hit the world. This was a Heating and Air Conditioning company and I even had several Heating and Air Conditioning dealers helping me navigate the industry. After weeks of staying in the neighborhood with literally nothing happening, I chose to move back in with my uncle. It was a brilliant idea because the change of environment helped me think of the next step to take. One night, as I was having iced coffee with my uncle, I told him that I had been thinking about using my skills as a cooling specialist to start a business there. I would be the local service provider for all the air conditioning faults. I would introduce the latest cooling technology to the residents of the town. My first booking was for a quality A/C service on a neighbor’s electric heat pump. He had been having faults with his air conditioning and the weather conditions control device. I sought the services of a local AC professional to help me with such works. This is what I needed to have the town’s residents trust my AC corporation. After solving the issue ailing my neighbor’s system, I got several work requests and most of them were Heating and Air Conditioning replacements. I remember within the second month of starting the business, we had fitted about 18 units. My uncle reiterated to me the initial method and I was cheerful to provide help with indoor comfort to the residents of the town. There was my silver lining. I got to help the people where I grew up and fulfill my dreams of owning a business.
