When I was young, I used to go to my grandfather’s on the weekend. Me and my grandfather had a great relationship, and he was almost like a second father to me. We used to do all kinds of things when I was at his place. Things that most would consider boring and work like, but to us, it was our pure bonding time. One of which, was to keep his oil furnace up to date. My grandfather was a heating and air conditioning specialist. So he always took care of his own stuff when it came to heating and air conditioning. The oil furnace was something that was always needing work at the time. He was wanting to replace the oil furnace with a general central heating and air conditioning system of the era, but, he always liked to keep things until they were absolutely useless and broken down. That was my grandfather. He was always trying to save a buck any way he possibly could. It did not matter that he made a good living being a heating and air conditioning worker for the local heating and cooling company. My grandfather still would act like he did not make a lot of decent money. This was actually pretty smart living to be honest, and because of him, I live the same exact way today. I miss my grandfather, he’s been gone now at least a decade and a half. But any time that I see an oil furnace, I will always remember the weekends we used to spend together tryin to fix that old oil furnace of his all the time.
