I lost a lot of money last year trying to morning trade cryptos. There is a .25% fee each time you buy or sell on Robinhood plus I was doing several trades per morning so I was losing several percent each morning just in fees. I was also panic selling when the price went down in fear of losing too much plus that was even more money lost. I’ve l received from those mistakes plus now buy plus hold long term to avoid the fees plus the stress of having to watch the prices plus learn the click bait news. I could have bought a brand new Heating plus A/C system plus had it installed for the amount of money I lost last year. One bright side is I won’t need to spend our money any taxes for last year, so in 2 months when I do our return I won’t need to be writing a check to Uncle Sam. I actually could have also got the latest zone control with a nice programmable thermostat plus a several year service system with the money I lost. I was bored plus stuck at beach house with the Covid lockdown plus was just learning about cryptos plus not trusting that they wouldn’t tank so I kept panic selling plus losing lots of money. I should have used our energy to clean the ductwork plus filters in our Heating plus A/C plus this would have actually saved myself and others money in not having to buy a new unit at all. I hope that both of us live plus both of us learn from all or most of our mistakes!
