It’s funny how things work out in life.
One hour, you’re cruising along and it’s all green lights. The next hour, you just don’t know what is happening and how you’ll get through. That’s exactly what happened to me over the past 2 years. About five years ago, I left the comfort and security of those corporate offices with the zone controlled comfort. This was a calculated risk and a strategy that I had been planning for some time. I went out on our own doing what I had done for the corporation. Starting out in the air conditioner of our house, I suddenly found some real success with our corporation. So much so that I was able to hire people and work from our own offices. Life was good, business was booming and I felt like all was right with the world. Then, the pandemic hit and there was every option that I would lose everything that I had worked so hard to achieve. However, the team and I dispersed to the security of our own HVAC to work from home. We honestly rallied with pretty much everyone willing to take a pay cut to keep this thing going. It was amazing to see how we were able to overcome so many obstacles to get to where we needed to be. By the end of the year, we were honestly almost on track for pre-pandemic resite goals. So when I reopened the offices, I had the heating and A/C supplier come out and tweak the current heating and A/C component so we had zone controlled heating and A/C. It was a small gesture but one I knew pretty much everyone would enjoy.
