It’s funny how things work out in life.
One minute, you’re cruising along and it’s all green lights.
The next minute, you just don’t know what is happening and how you’ll get through. That’s exactly what happened to me over the past 2 years. About five years ago, I left the comfort and security of those corporate offices with the zone controlled comfort. This was a calculated risk and a strategy that I had been planning for some time. I went out on my own doing what I had done for the company. Starting out in the air conditioning of my house, I quickly found some real success with my new company. So much so that I was able to hire people and work from my own offices. Life was good, business was booming and I felt like all was right with the world. Then, the pandemic hit and there was every possibility that I would lose everything that I had worked so hard to achieve. However, the team and I dispersed to the security of our own HVAC to work from home. We really rallied with everyone willing to take a pay cut to keep this thing going. And it was amazing to see how we were able to overcome so many obstacles to get to where we needed to be. By the end of the year, we were actually almost on track for pre-pandemic revenue goals. So when I reopened the offices, I had the HVAC company come out and tweak the current HVAC equipment so we had zone controlled HVAC. It was a small gesture but one I knew everyone would enjoy.
