Ductless unit is ideal for workshop

Building custom furniture started out as a hobby I enjoyed in my free time.

I like to build unique tables, chairs, dressers, bookcases and all kinds of things.

My pieces are painstakingly crafted and one-of-a-kind. My family, friends and neighbors expressed interest and by way of word-of-mouth, I started getting orders. This led to setting up a website and a full-fledged business. I now have a waiting list of customers, and I’m busy all year round. As the business grew, I could no longer handle demand out of my garage. I needed a dedicated workshop with plenty of space for tools and projects. The space had to include electricity, ventilation and temperature control. My local area sees temperatures from the high eighties down to negative twenty-five. To work comfortably year round, I needed access to both heating and cooling. After a bit of research, I decided on a ductless heat pump. This type of system consists of an outdoor compressor and an indoor handler linked by way of a conduit. Installation required a tiny hole in an exterior wall and mourning capabilities. The equipment is especially lightweight and compact yet powerful enough to maintain ideal year round comfort. I like that it operates quietly, filters contaminants out of the air and handles excess humidity. It includes wifi connectivity so that I can start the system up, adjust temperature and set up programs through an app on my phone. Plus, the ductless heat pump is super energy efficient, keeping my running costs low. I am totally happy with my investment into the heating and cooling unit.
