The air conditioning in the RV

They say the more the merrier, but I am not convinced.

We just came back from an epic road trip, and my feelings about it are that the trip would have been more fun with less people. There were eleven of us, and so we rented an RV so we could all fit in the same vehicle, but it was still pretty crowded there. The whole point of the road trip is to travel together, and not in a string of cars, so we all loaded into the RV for a whole week. It was an adventure, that’s for sure, but trying to find the right air conditioner settings for that many people is virtually impossible. What is perfect is one person is too cold for the next, so it was a constant argument over the thermostat. We rolled down all the windows at one point and turned off the A/C and we basically all agreed that was even worse. So we decided to shut all the air vents in the main bedroom in the back of the RV, and anyone who was too cold could go and hang out back there. That was a good solution while driving, because it spread out the body heat while concentrating the cooling in one area. Once we got to the campgrounds, though, the electrical hookups weren’t working, so we had to lose the A/C unless we wanted to leave the RV running for the whole weekend. Once again, we reached a compromise of running the air conditioning for two hours a day.
