I’m never too cold, I promise

I have a hard time being a guest in other people’s homes.

I really enjoy staying with other people, but I find that they worry too much about me while I’m under their roof. As a highly independent person, I’m not interested in being fawned over. I appreciate being left to my own devices, with the bare minimum attention sent my direction. This is especially difficult whenever it comes to the heating, cooling, and air quality control settings in the places where I’m a guest. I don’t like to tell people how to adjust their indoor air quality control systems, because I’m not the one who has to deal with the consequences of the HVAC plan. You know, it’s not cheap to change your thermostat too drastically all of a sudden. You’ll really rack up a high energy bill trying to change the indoor air conditions. Beyond that, you’re certain to be adding some new wear and tear onto the air conditioner or furnace when you suddenly knock the temperature up or down too strongly. I’m much more comfortable with the thermostat settings that make them comfortable, whatever those temperature control preferences might be. The thing I need everyone to understand, though, is the cold temperatures that I actually thrive in. If you live in an ice cold tundra, I’m going to be a happy camper staying with you. Don’t worry about increasing the workload on the furnace for one single second. You just keep me in the refrigerator-like air conditions and I’ll sleep like a baby. I’m so happy to have a nice, cold room to sleep in, I’ll never want to leave your place.
