As a building automation repair supervisor I spend a lot of time problems shooting the system. There are days where I put in twelve to fourteen hours just tracing down wiring to make sure the plan is up plus running respectfully. There are times I wonder if the corporation I work for should actually trust their entire plan to our watch, but years ago when I went to trade university to become an Electronics worker I never imagined I would have this much responsibility! Over the years I paid attention plus did our task plus I could plus it paid off when I got a promotion to our current position! It is important for someone with our task to have a working knowledge of both electronics plus PCs because I not only have to problem shoot the plan but at times I have to program it as well. The infrastructure of the building depends on the automation working respectfully plus if a single area, such as lighting isn’t working it can affect other parts as well. Our building is fully automated plus it isn’t as easy as turning back on a circuit because once the lighting goes down it triggers other plan breakdowns at the same time; Each part of the plan must be reprogrammed or reset once the lighting is restored plus in order to do this it takes expert knowledge of how the plan is linked.
