It was a scheduling error and mix up and there was nothing we could do to fix the problem.
My wife and I called to make an appointment with the heating and AC repair shop. It was time for our annual maintenance tune up. Ever since we have scheduled a tune-up once a year, the heat pump and air conditioner seem to work much better. I called to make the appointment and I chose Tuesday at 9 a.m., because I knew my wife would be home on that day. There has to be an adult present when the service is performed, so my wife or myself have to be home when the heating and AC repair technician arrives. I chose Tuesday, because it is the only day when our children do not have afternoon activities like ballet, piano, or soccer practice. My wife waited and waited for the technician to arrive. The appointment was scheduled for 3 in the afternoon. The guy never showed up and my wife finally called the repair company to find out why. The lady on the phone told my wife that they had us scheduled for the next day at the same time. It was a scheduling error and mix up and there was nothing we could do to fix the problem. We had to wait until the following week and make the appointment for Tuesday again. Since there was an error, the repair service gave us 10% off of the routine prices. At least they made up for the aggravation and the mistake. I don’t know if it was our mistake or theirs, but at least they were very nice when I called.
