There is truly a lot to learn when it comes to moving to a new town.

This is what happens when you send a southern boy north. While I was super gleeful by how nice everyone was, there was still a bunch to learn. That was never more tplot in the case of heating a house. Where I came from, the people I was with and I were on the opposite end of the Heating plus Air Conditioning spectrum. Our focus was solely on how to deal with the heat without sacrificing the household budget to Heating plus Air Conditioning cooling costs. That was yet another aspect of life that got flipped on its head when I moved to the far north. It’s all about Wintertide in this area. And for the next 5 years, I knew that I had to focus and just figure out the best way to deal with the brutal cold. It has not been self-explanatory. But with the help of a lot of kind people up here, I’m managing better each year. This was absolutely the best Wintertide so far when it came to heating my home. Much of this was the result of pursuing the source of a draft which was robbing our condo of heating efficiency. My friend loaned me a temperature gun to find the source. Hunting around the exterior and interior of my condo with the temp gun was the answer. I found a couple of windows that weren’t properly insulated and that worked on that.
