My coworker and I were assigned to complete a boiler service last weekend, the two of us went downtown at a factory and the place looked empty.
My coworker and I were in the building all afternoon and we didn’t see a single person other than the supervisor! She let us in the building early in the afternoon and told us to call her when we were finished. The empty building did not look like it was in use as a factory anymore. My coworker and I wondered why the person was fixing the boiler. We found out later that the old factory was recently bought to use as a training center for firefighters and medics, all afternoon while we fixed the boiler, we didn’t hear a single noise, and when we came back from dinner to finish with a boiler repair, my coworker and I heard a barking sound. Both of us thought it was weird to hear a dog, however it truly sounded like a bark. We tried to ignore the sound until it became louder and louder. All of a sudden, a dog came out of nowhere and bit my coworker on the leg. The guy started screaming and howling in pain and I could not get the dog to let go of his leg. I had to kick the dog before he would stop chewing on our co-worker. The two of us left the task place and I drove him to the emergency room, and he had to get 17 stitches in his leg and we never went back to finish the boiler repair.
