Then the HVAC broke just as we were heading into heat season.
I don’t know if it’s just me but it really feels like when ever there is bad stuff happening, it’s never like measured out in my life. I tend to have a bunch of bad stuff happen like all at once. Last spring was a great example. I was excited because spring is always my favorite time of year. The temperatures are rising and the HVAC heating is running less and less. Around here, that is always a great thing given what it costs to heat a house in this region. Plus, I am always so stoked to spend a 3 weeks in the HVAC comfort of my living room watching the college basketball tournament. Well, just as the tournament was about to begin last spring, the pandemic hit and it was cancelled. That was an ouchie but I got over it. Well then came the lock downs and stuff started getting worse. I was instructed to plan on working remotely from the HVAC comfort of home for the next year. That was a stunning development that would greatly impact my income. Not three weeks later, my wife loses her job outright. I mean gone. Not just a layoff. The company was on the ropes apparently and decided to close their doors. So now my wife has not job and is home with the kids as they are learning remotely while I’m trying to make a living as well. Then the HVAC broke just as we were heading into heat season. I just about punched a hole in the wall at this point. I even considered getting a handyman to fix it on the cheap. But I came to my senses as the only one’s working on my HVAC will be the HVAC professionals.
