Many of our Summer days as a child were spent at a single of our friends’ houses.
- All of us used to play in the woods until the people I was with and I got hot and needed a split indoors.
Whenever our friends came to our house, our mother would make us a plate of snacks and offer us drinks. But whenever the people I was with and I went over to a friend’s house, the people I was with and I either received scorn from their parents or total neglect. All of us often played video games or watched films, and none of our friends’ parents were ever as nice and welcoming as mine. This is in part why I didn’t like to spend the night at other peoples’ houses. When you have special dust irritations, it’s hard to stay over at any random person’s house unless you recognize if their parents are going to take your dust irritations seriously. It wasn’t just food dust irritations, I also had asthma and concerns with mold. It seemed like a respected theme at friends houses for the indoor air to odor like an aged locker room that hadn’t been properly cleaned in years. I recognize that the people I was with and I were living in the south at the time where the humidity is unreal in the worst Summer weather, however I still don’t understand how you can let your house get that disgusting. Their a/cs must have been full of mold and mildew growth, I can’t even imagine what it must have looked like inside. It’s exhausting when mold gets into your central air system, because from there it can propagate to every other area of your home. Between that and keeping mold spores out of your lungs, it’s important to keep it from growing in your Heating and A/C system.
